Recipe Pages

This is one of my favorite projects as it involved a fun challenge: utilizing only two typefaces across the entire design. I feel that through this project, I truly succeeded in showcasing my deftness for composition, photography, typography, and visual identity. And in the end, I discovered I have a strong passion for creative direction and I excel greatly in layout design.

It began with a mood board that I curated by researching many recipe books to understand the general composition and target audience of cookbooks. I then created multiple renditions of different styles and aesthetics to hone in on how I wanted to portray my recipe pages. Through group critiques, I effectively designed the recipe pages to express the sophisticated and expensive look I aimed to present.
