Studio Ghibli INspired Boba Tea

I created this print illustration to study different types of inks/pigments and the chemistry between them, by testing the application and effectiveness of these mediums. With thermochromic inks, the boba balls transform into soot sprites when heat is applied to the print. Additionally, the milk tea is covered in a sheer coat of scented ink with a jasmine fragrance to emulate a jasmine green milk tea. 

I really enjoyed the playfulness and interactivity of this project, serving as a valuable reminder not to take my work too seriously. And it emphasized the vast creativity waiting to be explored in the viewer's experience.
